Juvenile Probation Officer I/Guardian Ad Litem
at Sixth Judicial District Youth & Family Services in Lovelock
Pershing County Juvenile Department: Duties include: Investigation of referrals from law enforcement agencies, oversee safety and protection of children who are on their case load and make written reports and recommendations to Chief Juvenile Probation Officers regarding treatment of referred juveniles; supervise and counsel juveniles placed on probation; other duties assigned.
Applicants must have a valid driver's license, submit to a drug test and background check prior to employment; have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in the social sciences or related field or two (2) years of college and two (2) years of prior experience dealing with youth in the Juvenile Justice System; obtain P.O.S.T. certification within one (1) year of employment; must have general knowledge of office equipment and procedure. this is a full time position requiring on call status as assigned.
